In the city’s old harbour, the Port Vell, L’Aquàrium de Barcelona is the world’s most important marine leisure and education centre dedicated to Mediterranean undersea life.

- L’Aquàrium de Barcelona is a unique leisure facility that has already been visited by more than 14 million people.
- An ideal place to see the sea bed with:
- A series of 35 Mediterranean and tropical tanks.
- 11,000 animals and approximately 450 different species.
- An immense Oceanarium, the only one in Europe, where you’ll find such diverse species as giltheads, morays, ocean sunfish, rays and sharks.
- An underwater tunnel 80 metres long inside the Oceanarium.
- Permanent exhibitions: Planeta Aqua, which aims to show the importance of water in the development of our planet, and Explora!, where kids can discover nature and the underwater world by touching, looking at and listening to its interactive exhibits.
- At L’Aquàrium de Barcelona, as well as the tanks and the displays, you can enjoy the different services: cafeteria/ self-service, L’Aquàrium shop, souvenir photo, the auditorium, etc.
- Opening time: Open all year round.
- Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 9pm.
- Weekends and public holidays: 9.30am to 9.30pm.
- June and September: 9.30am to 9.30pm.
- July and August: 9.30am to 11pm.
