Pure Flamenco

The Tablao de Carmen is located in the Andalusian Quarter of the Poble Espanyol de Montjuïc, a visitor attraction created as part of the 1929 International Exhibition which is a showcase for the wealth and variety of Spanish architecture.

  • The Tablao de Carmen was created in 1988 as a tribute to the great Barcelona-born flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, who made her debut in 1929 at the opening of the Poble Espanyol.
  • The Tablao has always been known for its top-quality entertainment which is the direct descendent of the purest flamenco tradition.
  • The show offers a dynamic staging of the different strains of flamenco so that the audience can discover the wealth and variety of this musical art. With the same aim in mind, the show puts the spotlight on the different expressions of the flamenco genre: music, singing and dancing.
  • Performance time: 60 minutes.
  • Your booking entitles you to free admission to the “Poble Espanyol de Montjuïc” one hour before doors to the Tablao open.
  • You can choose from several options:
    • Option 1: drink + show.
    • Option 2: dinner + show (a choice of three dishes, sangria or wine and water, dessert and coffee. The children’s menu includes a soft drink and ice cream.
    • Option 3: tapas + Show (5 tapas, sangria or wine and water, dessert and coffee)
  • Times: Tuesday to Sunday:
    • 1st performance: dinner at 6.15pm and show at 7pm.
    • 2nd performance: dinner at 8.45pm and show at 9.30pm.
