The Museu de la Moto, which opened in 2011, is set to become one of Barcelona’s new cultural landmarks. The city has a long-standing passion for riding on two wheels and the museum has been created with the aim of becoming a key attraction, not just for motorbike fans but for the public at large, who are keen to discover a new space in the heart of the Gothic Quarter.

The first thematic exhibition at the Museu de la Moto, “Catalan Motorcycles (1905-2010): History of a Pioneering Industry” is devoted to the history of motorbikes in Catalonia and, in particular, to all the pioneers who laid the foundations for one of the region’s most successful industries and established a firm affection for two wheels that endures today.
