The Moscow Ballet was founded in 1989 by the Russian choreographer and dancer Timur Fayziev and is one of today’s leading Russian ballet companies.

- The Moscow Ballet comprises some of the top dancers and choreographers from the Russian ballet troupes, such the Bolshoi and the Stanislavsky.
- Since it was founded, the Moscow Ballet has given over a thousand performances and gone on 60 world tours: Japan, China, Taiwan, Italy, Switzerland, England, Spain, etc.
- In 1991, the company was chosen by the brilliant dancer Rudolf Nureyev on his last European tour.
- The Moscow Ballet performs an extensive repertoire whose highlights include Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and its most recent productions Carmen and Don Quixote.
- Repertoire – Teatre Apolo:
- Swan Lake. The story centres on Princess Odette who has been turned into a swan by the sorcerer Von Rothbart. The spell will only be broken when a man swears his eternal, undying love for her.
- Romeo and Juliet. Ballet based on William Shakespeare’s play set in the beautiful city of Verona. Two warring families and their innocent children who will pay the price for their rivalry, which brings about their deaths and the end of their doomed love affair.
- Performances:
- 9th to 20th July: Swan Lake.
- 22nd to 27th July: Romeo and Juliet.
- Times: Tuesday to Sunday.
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9pm.
- Friday: 10pm.
- Saturday: 7pm | 10pm.
- Sunday: 7pm.
